RVMP Flex Power® 4000i | 4000 Watt Dual-Fuel Installed RV Generator

Can't output the advertised 33amps, never had it run more than 1hour without it cutting out, either faulty unit or just terrible design, seems like it over heats despite basically being open to the elements.

Well as usual when trying new things you fail. Well this generator is the same. I've always had Onan generators an when my last one quit I started research and chingbother brand and came across Rvmp. I called talked to them and then made the purchase a few days later. The new Rvmp generator arrived a short time later and I placed it on top of my horse trailer by the hay rack. Hooked all wiring up and started that new gem up! Just to find out the oil pan had a crack in it. So they sent out a new generator. The replacement showed up and wouldn't start I had to take parts off of the original to get the new one to run. Finally got the replacement running and worked great for about 200hrs. Since that point this thing has been a pile of crap never starts. I’ve had to replace carb once on my dollar and it fixed it for about 20hrs. Its now back to not starting and if you go up ontop of trailer you can pull start it it and you may get it started. It it does start it surges the whole time it runs.

This unit is very easy to install, thanks to the help I received from Grant to ensure I purchased all the accessories I needed. I have currently used it for about 75 running hours and I am very happy with the product and the customer service from RVMP. I use this unit to power outlets, run a 13,500 BTU inverter roof top heat pump, microwave, refrigerator, battery charger and to charge electronics. So far it has averaged less than .2 gal per hour (2/10 gph). Extremely fuel efficient and quiet.

The generator was easy to install and the staff was great with questions! Unfortunately the unit is louder and shakes the camper more than we would like but beats having to carry around a generator and having to fill them up.

This is a major upgrade to my old Guardian RV generator. So quiet. The install was fairly easy with the frame kit. it was about one inch wider and only two holes had to be drilled for bolts. I also ordered the remote start and was able to use existing wires to install on my 20 year old BT Cruiser. So far really happy as the location for the generator is under my bedroom. I had to order a tailpipe after the install because in needed a six-inch drop and my old pipe was only a 4-inch drop. Exhaust /tailpipe is not included with the generator.
